Rotational Moulding

Rotational moulding, also known as rotomoulding, is a manufacturing process used to produce hollow plastic products. It is particularly suited for larger items such as storage tanks, containers, and automotive parts.

This process uses powdered polymer resins — typically polyethylene, polypropylene, or PVC — with the choice of material depending on the required characteristics of the final product, such as strength, flexibility, or resistance to chemicals and UV radiation.

Rotational moulding offers several advantages, including low tooling costs, excellent design flexibility, and the ability to produce large, seamless hollow products with uniform wall thickness. It is especially well-suited for low- to medium-volume production runs.

In 2023, Plastic Mouldings invested in CNC finishing for our rotational moulding division. This investment allows us to deliver parts with precise dimensional accuracy, improved consistency, and enhanced surface quality.

By combining rotational moulding with CNC finishing, we can improve the quality, functionality, and aesthetics of final products, making them suitable for a wide range of applications in industries such as automotive, off-road vehicles, construction, consumer goods, and general engineering.
