Rotational Moulding

Rotational Moulding, also known as rotomolding, is a manufacturing process used for producing hollow plastic products. It is particularly suitable for large, hollow products such as storage tanks, containers, automotive parts.

The material used for this process are powdered polymer resin, usually polyethylene, polypropylene, and PVC. The choice of material depends on the desired characteristics of the final product, such as strength, flexibility and resistance to chemicals or V radiation.

Rotational moulding offers several advantages which include, low tooling costs, design flexibility, and the ability to produce large, seamless hollow products with uniform wall thickness.

It is very much suitable for low to medium volume production runs.

In 2023 Plastic Mouldings invested in CNC finishing for our Rotational moulding division. This acquisition allows us to offer customers precise dimensional specifications and consistency across multiple parts.

CNC finishing for rotational moulded products offer a way to enhance the quality, functionality, and aesthetics of the final parts, making is suitable for a wide range of applications across industries such as automotive, off-Road vehicles, construction, consumer goods, general engineering, and more.
