In 2015, Plastic Mouldings acquired Dupuy Design, a company specialising in the fabrication of acrylics (Perspex). Alongside acrylics, we also work with materials such as ABS, polycarbonate, PETG, and polypropylene — making this a highly versatile process suitable for a wide range of industries.
These materials are available in different thicknesses and colours, and can be precisely drilled using our CNC routers, milling machines, and handheld drills. Acrylics can also be bent and formed by heating to between 140°C and 180°C, at which point the material becomes pliable. This makes the process particularly effective for manufacturing marine windows and automotive components.
With our CNC routers and engravers, we also provide detailed engraving and customisation, making this process ideal for interior design, wedding favours, and other bespoke products.
This manufacturing method is especially valuable in the industrial sector, where it is used for machine guarding, water tanks, protective covers, and security screens. It is also widely applied in the hotel sector for signage, displays, engraving, and the cutting of letters.
